I’d hoped that when I finally posted back in February I was back but it was not to be – life has just been too hectic! I have something for you today, and it is stamping. My stamping plate collection has exploded over the last several months, as has my stamper collection… but more on that another time. When I picked up a few of the most recent Barry M offerings, the Speedy Dry collection, there was one plate that jumped right out at me and begged to be paired with them:

How adorable are these nails? I feel like I’ve really hit my stamping groove this month!
I buy SO much polish these days it’s embarrassing. I have to confess I rarely seem to get through them all and there are many, too many polishes sitting in a box because I haven’t got around to wearing them. And to top it off, I still have favourites. Despite having enough polish for a different colour every day ALL YEAR I still reach for the same ones when I’m refreshing my mani! So I thought I’d let you in on what has mostly been on my nails this month.
I think a key theme of my untried collection may turn out to be Indies – I’m shocked at myself that I have these gorgeous handmade polishes that never seem to make it onto the blog! This polish isn’t technically an untried – as you’ll see later I’ve already used half of it! But I have never featured it here, and that’s my criteria for posting. *nods* I present to you – Nelly Polish.

So many ideas, so little time!
Since I tried galaxy nails for the 31 Day Challenge I’ve been thinking about potential colour combinations, and uses for the mountains of glitter I seem to have at my disposal. Pastel galaxy manicures are not new – just this week I saw a really cool one by My Mint Nails. So here’s my take:
Today is the final day of our Breast Cancer Awareness Month mini-challenge! I hope you’ve enjoyed our designs, and that you’ve learned something – hopefully you’ll never get breast cancer but knowing what to look for and what to do could save your life or that of someone you love.
My design today has a special feature – it is a blue nail, because today I want to focus on something that not everyone knows; men can get breast cancer too. It’s very rare – there are about 370 men diagnosed each year in the UK, compared with around 48,400 cases of breast cancer in women. That’s about one man for every 130 women diagnosed. The symptoms are very similar and it is treated in a similar way. The risk of getting breast cancer increases with age and most diagnoses occur in men between 60 and 70. There are other groups at risk however, such as men with high oestrogen, which is occurs in those who are heavily overweight or have chronic liver conditions, amongst other things. Luckily there is plenty of information available if you look for it. So be aware!
My final manicure is another simple dotticure:
Er… I had no idea what to do for this. I looked at some pictures from recent London Fashion Week, but I was uninspired. So I looked around my own collection, and settled on a trend that I really love – the Peter Pan collar. (That’s the technical term for those really cute rounded collars that have been around for the last year.) A great excuse to get my Models Own Fruit Pastels out again!
