Alas, today is Friday and we have come to the final design of Lily Allen week. Tomorrow I’ll post a quick round up of all 5 posts and then it will be over. Luckily, I’ve saved my absolute favourite til last. I was very ambitious with this design and it’s one of the most complex things I’ve ever done! I went freehand for this one, mostly – and wow, how did it come out?

Today I am mostly excited because Michelle Humphrey herself tweeted at me to say she liked my design yesterday! I’m such a fangirl of her designs that this was lovely! If you still have no idea why I’m posting about Lily Allen then start here. For the June edition of Glamour Magazine, cover starlet Lily Allen did a shoot in all kinds of crazy clothes and every day this week I’m posting a design based on something in that shoot. Thanks for all the great feedback on my post yesterday! It seems you are all loving the YSL and Coral Glaze beauty of my first Lily Allen Week design. If you missed yesterday’s explanation then here it is again: I’ve created five designs based on Lily Allen’s photo shoot for the June Glamour Magazine and I’ll be posting one every day this week. I started yesterday with a simple but effective Hypergel design based on a floaty Saint Laurent dress.
Today I have a more complex design for you, based on this slightly strange looking ensemble by Theyskens’ Theory.
Every now and again I like a project. I also like to go through magazines and cut out pictures for inspiration. When Lily Allen was on the cover of Glamour Magazine in June I got both! Every day this week I’ll be posting a design based on Lily Allen’s fab shoot for that issue. You can find the whole shoot here if you’d like to see the outfits in all their glory!
Today I present the dress from the cover: this fabulous floaty coral number by Saint Laurent.
Have you voted for me in Tara’s Talons Competition yet? Voting ends tomorrow, I need all the help I can get!
This will be one picture heavy post. I’ve got so many awesome shots that I want to share them all with you!
When I was a kid I loved scrapbooking. I used to cut out pictures from any magazine I could get my hands on – my brother and I used to argue over images from the Radio Times. Nowadays I don’t get so much time to scrapbook, but the November issue of Glamour Magazine had so many beautiful patterns and designs in it that I couldn’t help going through it and cutting out the ones I thought would make good nail art. And then I did this:
