Welcome to the second of my Inspired By posts from the South West Blog Social! This is the second item I picked up with a voucher from the goody bag. The lovely lady in The Real McCoy (whose name I have already shamefully forgotten) let me dig around in the basket full of scarves of all patterns, shape and sizes until I found one that yelled “take me home!” And I picked this one:
One of the amazing items in the goody bag from the recent South West Blog Social was a voucher for a free necklace from Erin Cox. I went over to her shop on Castle Street in Exeter centre to pick it up and had a lovely chat with Laura and Jasmine who work with her. I had a nosey around the workshop, which was a beautiful mess of equipment and shiny things. I love a workshop – it’s great to see where all the magic happens! They had certainly been very busy in the run up to the South West Blog Social handmaking the Mini Floating Pearl Pendant to give away to us lucky bloggers!

When I heard that Jodie and Albertine were organising a blog social for the South West I was thrilled – I really enjoyed the social I went to last year. Alas, I was the only nail blogger at that event, so I contacted Jodie and asked if I could run a Nail Art Station. The idea was to bring along some polish and some bling and show people what our glorious little world is all about. I recruited help from She Sells Seashells, who sent me some fabulous supplies to play with, and Bita from B-Nails gave me a hefty discount on her fabulous wraps, for those less keen on making their own art. I brought along a decent selection of polishes and my own little trinkets and I set up next to deLush Cosmetics Studio, who were already busy doing Jodie’s make up when I arrived.
All the essentials: polish, brushes, striping tape, nail wheels, nail files, dried flowers…
