I’m rounding out the month with another design I’ve worn a couple of times in the last week – I met up with a dear friend of mine lately and wanted to look nice! He didn’t notice my nails, as it happens. That’s not really his thing. But I was pleased that I did them and I really like this design.
Monthly Archives: March 2014
This is a typically picture heavy post for a set of gig nails. I can’t help showing them off! Since I started using adhesive tabs to stick false nails on rather than glue, I’ve been wearing falsies more often. This particular set of nails has seen quite a few uses – two gigs and a wedding! This is a very simple design by my standards, but I wanted to match this gorgeous dress that I’ve had lots of excuse to wear this month.
When I discovered a thermal polish at Poundland I was SO excited. I really, really want a thermal polish – along with jelly and glow in the dark polishes they seem to be the preserve of indie brands and are thus (justifiably) expensive. Thermal polish for £1? What a coup! I rifled through the three or so different colours and settled on a beautiful purple colour.
I find it more or less impossible to walk past a Poundland without popping in. They so often have such awesome stuff in – if you don’t mind being a bit behind the fashion curve then you can pick up some very cool polish for a fraction of the original price. Way back in September when I was a fledgling blogger I picked up 6 OPI Shatter polishes. I’ll admit, they’re not so useful all the time but my latest find is something I’ve wistfully gazed at on multiple occasions on other blogs: Sugar Coat by Sally Hansen. When I found out these were in Poundland, I was right in there, buying up every colour I could get my hands on!
I’ve been trying to keep my polish purchases down lately, but when an email from Nails Inc landed in my inbox about a special offer on spring collection boxsets, I couldn’t help myself. The email listed three special collections of spring colours – 8 full size polishes for £20. I felt instantly head-over-heels for the Heatwave selection.
Wow, are we really half way through March already? I’ve been busy putting together a small business so I haven’t had a lot of time for blogging lately. 😦 However, I’ve still got time for nails. There is always time for nails.
