A Wheel Load of Pink
This has been sitting in my “to-post” pile since last month, when I spent the weekend looking after my poorly partner with nothing to amuse me but a whole load of pinks and neutrals. For my sister’s baby shower I had intended to do pink manicures and take a wheel of simple designs with me to inspire people. Sadly, I never got to do that, but I did the wheel of designs anyway. Except I didn’t go in for the simple so much, with a lot of them.

When I was a kid I loved scrapbooking. I used to cut out pictures from any magazine I could get my hands on – my brother and I used to argue over images from the Radio Times. Nowadays I don’t get so much time to scrapbook, but the November issue of Glamour Magazine had so many beautiful patterns and designs in it that I couldn’t help going through it and cutting out the ones I thought would make good nail art. And then I did this:
31 Day Challenge Day 13: Animal Print – Butterflies
I didn’t want to do anything obvious for animal print, given how many leopard and zebra print nails are out there. I’ve never done those nails before but I didn’t want to do them today. I scoured the internet for frogs, and then frog manicures started popping up everywhere… so I settled for this gorgeous butterfly design. Seche Vite is MAGIC – I applied it when I finished the design, and half an hour later it was hard as rocks. Didn’t smudge at all. I am in awe. And it’s so glossy and shiny!
