I’ve been trying to keep my polish purchases down lately, but when an email from Nails Inc landed in my inbox about a special offer on spring collection boxsets, I couldn’t help myself. The email listed three special collections of spring colours – 8 full size polishes for £20. I felt instantly head-over-heels for the Heatwave selection.
Way back in October last year, I subscribed to Tara’s Talons Treasure Trove, a £20 subscription box of Tara’s Talons polishes and other goodies. These beauties have been sat in my pile waiting to be swatched since they arrived in November. I get the box every two months and I’ve got this months box now waiting to be swatched as well! Hopefully it won’t be another two months before I get around to those though…
I love surprise polish boxes – you never know quite what you’re going to get….
November was a No-Polish Buying Month. Somehow I still came out of the month with over 10 new polishes. This is largely because of polishes from magazines.
The first polish I ever got from a magazine was Nails Inc Motcomb Street with Glamour Magazine. I bought it because it looked like black. Turns out it’s a very deep navy blue, which was kind of annoying at the time. It took me a while to warm to the colour. But now I don’t mind it.
In fact, I’m pretty sure the first time I ever used it was during the 31 Day Challenge in September, despite the fact it had been in my collection since last Christmas! Read the rest of this entry
There’s a reason why November needed to be a No-Buy month. I approximated I bought 32 polishes in October, and I don’t even want to think about how much money that came to. But I did get some tremendous bargains, as I mentioned last week. Here are a few more!
I missed this over the weekend! The British Nail Bloggers are doing a collaborative event – we’re all posting about our favourite polishes. Like many other bloggers, my favourite polishes change regularly but as of right now, these are the polishes I can’t get enough of:
I know a lot of bloggers post an archive of their stash, for interest or insurance or whatever reason. I don’t find lists all that helpful, because certain brands such as Nails Inc don’t really name their polishes anything helpful when it comes to working out what the colour is. So I figure I’d record my stash by taking pictures of my polishes and posting them in dribs and drabs and filing them under the tag “stash” so that you can just look through and see stuff. I also want to link to the posts that I’ve used polishes in so that I know I’m using them! Multi-purpose posting! (Please note this post will remain a work in progress.)
