I’m quite good at finding a bargain. I’m also a cheapskate financially efficient. These two combined mean that there are some really, really cheap polishes in my collection. I thought I’d be showing you the All About Nails collection from Tesco which I picked up for a mere 29p each last year but it turns out I have something even cheaper. No, today I have Claire’s Accessories polishes that I bought for a whopping 20p each. (When Claire’s sold off all of their old label bottles at 5 for £1 last year.)

April Almost-Gig Nails
As per a usual Gig nails post there are LOTS of pictures in this post!
At the start of March I had three gigs lined up for April. One was sadly cancelled, another fell through because of a change of management at the venue and shortly after I finished designing these funky nails the final one was cancelled because our drummer fell ill. What are you supposed to do? So I wore these nails out the following day to meet my partner at the cinema and then cut them down short and wore them for a few more days after that. What do you think?
The Neverending Pile Challenge: Most Expensive
I’m not totally clear on whether this prompt means the polish that you spent the most money on, or the polish with the most expensive retail price. I don’t tend to pay a great deal of attention to retail prices, other than to not buy anything that costs over £5, as a rule. Polishes like the Illamasqua one I showed last week (£14.50), or Nails Inc which cost £12 just seem overpriced to me. As a result, I’m amazing at spotting when something is reduced, and I jump on special offers. I keep a spreadsheet of details about my polishes, including how much I paid for them, and somehow the most money I have spent on a single bottle of polish is a mere £6.85. (And even that wasn’t full price!) Hello to Ohana by Tara’s Talons.
The Neverending Pile Challenge: Had To Have It, Still Haven’t Worn It
There are a few polishes I could have picked for this prompt – how often do you spend AGES looking for a polish, or looking at a specific polish, and then sit around at home drumming your fingers because you can’t wait for it to arrive, only to then not use it? This is what has happened with this particular polish: Mosaic by W7.
Tri-Polish Tuesday #3: Blue, Yellow & Pink
Another Tuesday already? It must be time for another tri-polish design. This one is inspired by Nuthin’ But A Nail Thing.
The Neverending Pile Challenge: Drugstore
We don’t really have drugstores here in the UK, so I had to interpret this one a little bit. In this context, I’m figuring what the Americans call a drugstore we would call a pharmacy. A big one like Boots or Superdrug that sell all your toiletries as well as just prescription medication etc. This means to me cheap polish, or at least relatively inexpensive. So I’ve gone for Miss Sporty. I think I picked up these two polishes along with a third for £5. These are not at all expensive. Miss Sporty has a bit of a reputation for being a young person brand rather than a serious one for buying your make up from, but I got these colours because I was trying to match them to a dress at the time and these were the closest I could find. I have apparently used them once before but it was very subtle!
Happy Easter! Good Friday Nails
I’ve seen a lot of bunny and chick nails over the last few weeks, but these don’t really say Easter to me at all. Spring, sure, but Easter is about more than that! As a Christian, Easter for me is about the death of Jesus and his resurrection 3 days later. So I’ve got two sets of Easter nails to show you – one for today, Good Friday, when we commemorate Jesus being crucified, and then on Easter Sunday I’ve got “He is Risen” nails.
The Neverending Pile Challenge: Indie
If you’ve seen any of my posts from the challenge so far you’ll know that I’ve mostly posted Indies so far. Finding another Indie for today’s prompt was not difficult. But I was determined to use something a bit different. So I have another Nelly Polish for you today and a brand that has never been posted on this blog before: WRK Nails.
